Sweetheart and the Bandits

Hello Everyone!

Sweetheart (the strange bird) has been protective this week. She had been overly eager to "patrol" Daddy's back yard in the hopes of catching some "trespasser" that has been coming around at night. Daddy says she sits on the back porch, constantly looking back and forth, scanning for any movement in the area.

Several times during the night, he will get up and check to see if she is ready to come in. When he turns the door knob, she takes off like greased lightning, growling all the way. He has gone out, flashlight in hand, stumbling over tree roots and probably Copperheads, to find what is disturbing her so much, but to no avail. That is until last night!

Bandits! Masked Bandits! A whole family of them in the back yard!

Two young raccoons lay dead. She must have caught them in the act of daring to come onto "HER" turf! Wait! She is innocent until proven guilty! But I must admit the "evidence" is stacked against her. CSI (Crime Scene Investigators) found her DNA in the saliva that was left on the bodies. Could she have been "framed?"

Know of a good attorney? She needs one!

Be Encouraged!

P.S. We had rain today!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!! It has been extremely dry. We are going to re-plant some of the garden this coming week. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!

You have a very exciting life. I always enjoy reading your posts.

It's not hard to learn decoupage just time consumming. I also did wooden pockets books and actually sold a few. That was a very, very long time ago.

Did you figure out which picture was me? I can be secretive too.

Plant Lady,
Love your story as always. Glad you got some rain, we needed the break from it. :) We have had about 4 sunny days in a row.. Yahoo! My youngest daughter talked me into an aerobic body smith class. I'm doing that at 9:15 in the morning, what was I thinking. It may make for a good post. :)Have a great weekend.
Love,
Lynn

Plant Lady,
Thanks for the comment on my post and no it was not too long. Wow seems like we have yet another thing in common. :)

I think maybe age and hormones must be a factor for you I know as I have aged it is harder. Until I was 29 and had a hysterectomy I weighed 98lbs. Never had to be concerned with what I ate or did. Then I went up to 133 and stayed there for a couple of years then I gained some and went on my 1st real diet. I lost some and that is the picture you see on my blog. Well I gained 46 lbs from there and have lost 8. I would like to be 10lbs lighter than I was in the picture so I have approx 45-50 lbs to go. I used to be able hide it too, but not anymore. I'm only 5'5" so there is only so many places to hide it. :) :)
I know mine has a lot to do with the fact that we eat out (fast food) alot. I never used to do that. So even with my good choices fast food is fat food. I do like bread and sweets but don't eat them, like I used to. I am here to encourage you and if you want we could help keep each other accountable, but I'm not sure where to start. Let me know and
we can give it a try. If I think of a way I'll let you know too.
Have a great day and I'll think about it.
Love ya,
Lynn

are you kidding! well, i kinda know how you feel. our cat chester brings us "prizes" and leaves them on the welcome mat. have you ever walked out your door bare-foot in the morning and, you guessed it, stepped on one? a mouse! gross, i know. i tried not to scream too loud because maggie came running wondering what was wrong. she has such a tender heart i was afraid that if she saw she would be crying for an hour and she wouldn't speak to chester for a week!
