Sunflower Rewards

Hello Everyone!

SUNFLOWERS! I have finally been able to grow them in my garden. I planted five packs this time, hoping and believing some would come up and grow. Not just come up, wilt, and then die - my usual results. Even with the extremely dry weather, they came up and GREW! I am so excited! (see photo above)

If you remember, I mentioned that I adore sunflowers. They are so cheery and bright! I likened the way they turned their "faces" to the sun, to the way we should turn our faces toward the "Son" - Jesus Christ. He has rewarded my efforts of hoping and believing that I would triumph in my attempt to plant them once again! I have a row of bright, cheery "faces" in my garden to remind me of His love and faithfulness!

How have you triumphed over a seemingly impossible task? How has He rewarded you?

"Little" things, such as sunflowers, are all around you! Take a break today and see what rewards the "Son" has given you!

Be Encouraged!

That looks like a nice size Son flower. I too love sun flowers. I have a set of sun flower glasses that I just can't part with.

Yes, it's easy to look at God's beauty and nature to refocus our minds and hearts.

Plant Lady,
Yeah I am so happy for you. Yes God has in so many ways rewarded me. I have always loved sunflowers too, and now when I see them I will think of you, and God and it will bring a smile to my face. Have a great day :)

I, too, absolutely love sunflowers!
The picture that you posted is SO beautiful, especially when enlarged. Is that a little honey bee to the right of the picture?

Thanks for the comments that you shared about your mamma. We certainly share a kindred spirit of how God began to purify our hearts as we cared for our mothers.
Of course you were much younger than I when losing your mother, I just don't know what my feelings would have been as a young person.
I love what you said, that you treasure the times you cared for your mamma "and would not trade them for all the freedom you thought you wanted."

My mother took care of my dad for about 24 years afer a serious illness. After he died, mother said that God revealed to her what an honor she had been given.

Yes Mary,
That is a little honey bee. My dad has hives on the farm for pollination of the blueberries. This one liked the sunflowers.

On another note, I once took a photograph of a daylily blossom that contained a little green rainfrog. If I can find it, I will post for you to see.
