Then Comes the Morning

Hello Everyone!

Then comes the morning! Dark and ominous clouds were our companions yesterday as the weather began to deteriorate as Tropical Storm Hanna churned off the coast of North and South Carolina making her way toward the coastline where she would make landfall. Winds began to pick up and rain began to fall as we started to feel the effects of the storm. As the day progressed, the skies became darker and darker. Just how bad was this thing going to be?

Clouds began to bank up in the skies, an ominous warning of things to come. Rains came next, at first as sprinkles, then as downpours. Winds were moderate up until landfall occurred, then they raged in the dark, early morning hours. Darkness! Heavy rains! Raging winds! Occasional lightning! These were our companions through the night.

Then came the morning! Winds still blew . . . rains still fell . . . dark clouds still filled the sky . . . YET . . . there was a comfort! It was morning! Fears of the unknown and unseen that had plagued during the night suddenly disintegrated. Light could be seen!

Such is the scene when the storms of life come to threaten us with their ominous downpours and raging winds. When the unknown and unseen forces of the enemy are amassed against us we can have the hope of the coming morning and the brightness of a new day!

Be Encouraged!

Hi Plant Lady
Another Great Post...there are many times when I look forward to the night for a time of rest...but nothing, absolutely nothing compares to the morning after a stormy night...when I read your post I was reminded of our national anthem...
Hope you have a glorious Sunday...
Be Blessed,
In His Love,
Debrah

Hi Plant Lady,
I love the wind and Lightning and Thunder, but I don't like the damage it can do. I was very happy to know you were safe and secure.
Love,
Lynn

Hi Sis..
Oh yes!! when the morning comes what a comfort even in the midst of the storms, one of my favorite scripture says.. weeping may endure for the night , but joy cometh in the morning. no matter what scary moments of uncertainty may arise in the darkness the hope of light awaits us in the morning. I love this post..

Good Morning,

I have just returned from being at the Crystal Coast of NC for over a week. It was the first time I have been there during a hurricane. That darkness, shaking of the foundation of the house, the roar of the ocean - all will turn a believer to prayer. My daughters teased me for singing 3 verses of "Have Faith In God" in the middle of the night. And then came the morning and all was well. Then I wanted to sing "All Is Well" and just praise the Lord for His power, provision and promises. Kind of a neat experience. And now it is MONDAY MORNING! Yahoo.....

Plant Lady- just dropping by to say Hi...you were on my mind and prayers...it is amazing that as often as we think of each other that we are always on God's mind...I keep thinking on your post Joy comes in the morning...sometimes the nights seem very long...but they are always followed by the morning...Jesus said He would never leave us so even in our night season we can rest in the knowledge that He who is over all who is Lord of all is right there with us...be blessed...
